Cut into Sections

With no doubt, nature has been one of our most inspiring source as a studio. And particularly insects
and their behaviour have always fascinate us, as our
life as humans somehow depend on such odd creatures.

After a visit to the Natural Museum of London,
we decided to pay insects a tribute by creating minimal, geometric replicas where the key elements were their shapes.

With no doubt, nature has been one of our most inspiring source as a studio. And particularly insects and their behaviour have always fascinate us, as our life as humans somehow depend on such odd creatures.

After a visit to the Natural Museum of London,
we decided to pay insects a tribute by creating minimal, geometric replicas where the key elements were their shapes.

To do so we used a leaves-shaped black background which contrasts with the figure of each bug made from pearl-white paper card. The orientation of the lights did
the rest by giving a volumetric result and the shades of grey that can be appreciated.

With these artworks our aim came true: insects not necessarily have to be considered ugly, dangerous
or yucky, they can also be a masterpiece of beauty.
